Biography

Chalmer Lee "Buster" Williams, Sr. of Mt. Zion, KY. passed away Friday, July 23 at home at the age of 76. Mr. Williams was born March 24, 1934 in Wolfe County, KY. to the late Sam Williams and Atlas Clair Williams. He was a former union carpenter, truck driver, and was a member of the Crittenden-Dry Ridge Lodge #694 F & AM. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local 100 in Cincinnati. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife: Ruth Riley Williams on June 26, 2002.

Mr. Williams is survived by a daughter: Lydia Welch of Lawrenceburg, KY., and 2 sons: Willis Williams of Dry Ridge, KY. and Chalmer Lee Williams, Jr. of Crittenden, KY. He has 6 granchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 28 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Summers officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 28 from 10:00 am until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
