Life Legacy
Hattie Mae Hunter, of Corinth, passed away Sunday, July 25 in the Hospice of the Bluegrass at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. at the age of 87. Mrs. Hunter was born December 9, 1922 in Stanton, KY. to the late Ben Hampton and Frances Brandenburg Hampton. She was a former store clerk for Hunter's Grocery in Lusby's Mill and a member of the New Columbus Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by a grandson: Travis Dale Hunter and a sister: Florence Hampton Hunter. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Rex Hampton and Lawrence Hampton and by 2 infant brothers.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by a son: Gary D. Hunter and his wife Darlene of Corinth, KY. and 1 granddaughter: Tammy Smith of Corinth, KY. She has 2 great grandchildren: Kayla Smith and Corby Smith, both of Corinth, KY.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hunter will be conducted at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 28 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Brad Vincent and Rev. David Wotier officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-9 pm. Burial will be in the Stanton Cemetery, Stanton, KY.
